Kate's Fundraising Page

I am raising money for the animal shelter where I am a volunteer. I began volunteering at LHS after Hurricane Sandy when I heardthat they needed help getting the dogs out for walks. It was cold, there was no power, and it was a pretty chaotic place at that time. I just wanted to help out. 

Six years later, I continue to be at LHS almost every weekend, as I found its a joy to spend time with these animals. Their stories are often heartbreaking, but their resilience and ability to trust is amazing, and I love being part of their preparation for the next chapter.  Some of these dogs are at LHS for months waiting for their forever home, and although the Jersey City and Hoboken provide some funding, the shelter is mostly dependent on fundraising. 

Please consider donating to our largest event of the year, Bark in the Park which will be held on October 13th in Hoboken.
