Feather, the sweet dog who came to LHS after she had been allegedly beaten by her owner, is on the road to recovery thanks to the generosity of our donors. Feather's femur injury was so complex she ended up needing to have a second surgical procedure to ensure her leg healed properly, but despite her traumatic past and her ongoing medical challenges, Feather still adores people.

After weeks of being confined to keep her from re-injuring the leg, and having to be carried in and out for each walk, Feather has started her daily routine of physical therapy -
