UPDATE 9/6: The adult dogs from TX have tested positive for Heartworm and will begin treatment.

Six years ago we evacuated our shelter in preparation for Hurricane Irene. A year later we did it again for Hurricane Sandy. People from across the country rallied to take in LHS pets and keep them safe during those storms; now it’s time to pay it forward to the shelter animals of Texas.

Paying It Forward

We survived Hurricanes Irene and Sandy - now we’re helping Texas with Harvey. Seven dogs just arrived at LHS from the City of Beaumont Animal Shelter. We’re not the biggest shelter in NJ, but we will continue to help the animals of Texas as best we can.
