We have good news: wellness appointments are now available!

When Liberty Humane Society’s work shifted at the end of 2023 we began focusing more of our resources on something our community desperately needs: affordable veterinary care. We started with spay/neuter, first on the road in our mobile clinic, and now at our new veterinary clinic in Lyndhurst. This summer, we're taking another step forward by adding wellness care.

On select days, LHS is now offering affordable veterinary exams, vaccinations, testing, and other routine care for dogs and cats.

Is it everything we want to offer? Not yet.

Right now, we have veterinarians available to provide wellness care approximately two days each month. Veterinary staffing continues to be one of the biggest challenges facing our program, and our appointment availability reflects that reality. We know two days a month isn't enough to meet community need—but it's what we can offer right now, and we're very happy to be able to offer it.

Every additional clinic day gives more local pets access to preventative care, and gives their people another affordable option when they need help keeping them healthy.

Over the last few years, our work has increasingly focused on helping pets stay healthy and with the people who love them. Expanding into wellness care is another step in that direction. We hope to continue growing what we're able to offer as our resources allow.
