Year In Review - 2017
2017 was a year of milestones for LHS. We provided care to more animals, became the largest animal control operator in Hudson County, and celebrated over a thousand adoptions!
Most importantly, our shelter was able to save more animals than ever before. We were able to rehabilitate and place 92% of the animals who entered our care, including those who were injured or sick, making Jersey City and Hoboken two of the safest cities in the state for homeless animals.
This year LHS is celebrating its 20th anniversary. We have grown from an organization entirely run by volunteers, to one with 30 employees dedicated to compassionate animal care.
We are very proud of our accomplishments, but we couldn’t do this work without you. To our thousands of foster homes, adopters, donors, and supporters: you save lives.
Thank you so much for your support. We look forwarding to sharing even more great things in 2018.
